As we move into an exciting new era for light rail as part of the South Yorkshire People’s Network, I am looking to appoint an exceptional individual to chair the Board of the South Yorkshire Future Trams Limited (SYFTL).

As Chair of SYFTL, our wholly-owned subsidiary tasked with running Supertram, you will play a pivotal role in setting direction, strengthening governance and supporting the leadership team to deliver meaningful outcomes for the communities we serve. This is a unique opportunity to provide strategic leadership to an organisation with a clear purpose and growing ambition.

I am looking for a leader with strong values, sound judgement and the confidence to both support and challenge constructively. Most importantly, you will share our commitment to transparency, collaboration and continuous improvement.

The Chair will work alongside a committed Board and leadership team, helping to shape the future of South Yorkshire’s tram network and ensure SYFTL maintains and improves its service to South Yorkshire's broad range of diverse communities.
